What Is Difference Between the Opening and Mesh for Welding Wire Mesh?

What Is Difference Between the Opening and Mesh for Welding Wire Mesh?

When the word "mesh" is used to describe the measurement of woven or welded wire, it indicates the space measured between center-to-center of the wire. When the word "opening" or "aperture" is used to describe the measurement of woven or welded wire, it indicates the space measured between the inside and the inside of the wire. Customers may not receive what they expect if they work with an unprofessional salesperson or factory. Despite having the same wire diameter, the weight per square foot varies. We strictly control the details and quality of every customer’s order.

Example 1

1/2" mesh, 1mm wire diameter, the weight is 1.0kgs per square meter.
1/2" opening, 1mm wire diameter, the weight is 0.927kgs per square meter.
1/2" mesh aperture, 1mm wire diameter, the weight is 0.927kgs per square meter.

Example 2

1" mesh, 2mm wire diameter, the weight is 2kgs per square meter.
1" opening, 2mm wire diameter, the weight is 1.85kgs per square meter.
1" mesh aperture, 2mm wire diameter, the weight is 1.85kgs per square meter.
